PRAYER 1 SAMUEL 1 We are told of how Samuel came to be born. Samuel the prophet is a product of prayer. Samuel means “because I asked the Lord for him” [1 Samuel 1:20]. I am reading the genesis of why her mother had to name him Samuel. We all have Samuels in our life, things we asked God and he granted the answer to our prayers. Hannah Samuel mum acknowledges God. What did you ask God? Have you admitted that it was God who gave you what you asked? Jesus said “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be opened for you” [Matthew 7:7]. 1 Samuel 15:17  Although you once considered yourself unimportant , have you not become the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel I love this statement by Samuel. We always have a history as believers in Christ. You see the man you call pastor right now was one time a non-believer or a sinner. I was also a non-believer and a sinner at one time. We were considered unimportant and we also viewed our self that way.   We accepted Christ and joined the family of believers. Do you remember the first time you were requested to do something before the family of believers? Do you remember the first time you stood to pray? Do you remember first time you stood to share the word of God? I know of people who missed fellowship on the day they were to share with family of believers. THE CONFLICT OF SAUL AND SAMUEL 1 SAMUEL 13:1-15

SAUL WAS 30 YEARS WHEN HE BECAME KING Saul became a king while still a young man. In Kenyan constitution he was still a youth. You see young men today want to be in leadership positions. The problem is what is driving them to become leaders. The error we have is young leaders who never want to be servants but bosses. Young leaders who don’t want to seek council. Saul was not different and we can learn a lot from him as young men both in leadership and maturing in faith. The thing we learn from Saul and Samuel is where young people want to do what old people do. Where young people don’t even want to be referred to as young. They want to do Jobs that call for experience that they are yet to acquire. Young people that despise old men. Where there is no respect. It is one thing to be sent and to have EXCUSES , and it is another thing to say, Here I am send me. You see in this society and time, it takes boldness not of human effort but power filled Holy Spirit man to say here I am send me. What you hear people talk about others behind their back or boldly at their face will make you live low Isaiah 6:5-6. When they see people go for their dreams you hear words such as “wanajifanya” “anataka kuonekana” “anajipendekeza”. I write this words to encourage you. Psychologist have given it a name Defense mechanism. How did the know “kujifanya” “kujipendekeza” and “kutaka kuonekana”. When an opportunity comes to serve Gods people in whatever capacity be willing to say here I am use me God as your vessel. No Excuse God is with you From our last week post  GOD IS EVERYWHERE  we realized that Christ did what the Father would do. I realized that before you do what God wants you to do, God must first send you. Most men of God in the bible have one thing in common, Excuses!!!. Excuses forms a greater obstacle in doing what the father is calling us to do. I have been a person of giving excuses, an example is why I cannot share weekly blog on what God has been placing in my life. I believe you have shared excuses on an area of your life and they are all either internal or external. External excuse mostly revolve around us blaming people and things. They become the reason why we cannot do something that will change others and the world. I believe you are at the right blog and reading the right article. CCTV have been installed in various public places. They have been installed for monitoring of activity taking place in the surrounding environment. We also have CCTV for security in banks, in shopping malls to ensure no shop lifting and surprisingly in some churches today we are installing CCTV. I was in church and an announcement was made. We were requested to ensure that we don’t leave our belongings next to people we are not acquainted. The report is that someone had been caught stealing phone on church CCTV. You can  imagine that even in places of worship someone had no fear of the almighty. I remember working on night shift and people were sleeping at work place, coming late among many other vices. The manager installed CCTV and things changed, People acted differently yes acted. They were on time, worked as per the requirement and related professionally with one another. I want to revenge, someone didn’t reply my text, and was thinking how good it will be if the person would text me and I decide to payback by not replying. I just realized how it’s weighing on my thought and am mad at everyone for no reason. I am texting the person again right now. (Pause to send Text). What’s with the change in attitude, I Just realized that the individual am mad at probably didn’t see my message or didn’t have airtime or other unknown reasons.
