EXCUSES

No Excuse God is with you

From our last week post GOD IS EVERYWHERE we realized that Christ did what the Father would do. I realized that before you do what God wants you to do, God must first send you. Most men of God in the bible have one thing in common, Excuses!!!. Excuses forms a greater obstacle in doing what the father is calling us to do.

I have been a person of giving excuses, an example is why I cannot share weekly blog on what God has been placing in my life. I believe you have shared excuses on an area of your life and they are all either internal or external. External excuse mostly revolve around us blaming people and things. They become the reason why we cannot do something that will change others and the world. Like my excuse have always been I don’t have good internet connection, like am busy with work and can’t find time to put something down on paper.

Internal excuses are those that we have come to believe and allowed to be part of our lives. We get to downgrade ourselves, like am not good in this, I was born like this, they are better than me. One internal excuse as to why I have not being consistent in writing this blog is am not good in grammar. The thought of someone checking my grammar and judging my lack of punctuation and comma made me avoid writing. Probably it’s because when I was in school my English teacher would complain about my compositions, I would score low in languages. Let’s not even mention other languages.

I come to realize that even men of God in the bible displayed excuses when God gave them a task and I realized that I am not alone. Then reading on I realized that God still went ahead and used the men mightily.  Talk of Gideon who looks at his tribe, his environment and cannot believe that God would call him a mighty warrior. Talk of Moses, the man that God choose to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt.

Exodus 3:10-12 Therefore, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh so that you may lead My people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.”
But Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
He answered, “I will certainly be with you, and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: when you bring the people out of Egypt, you will all worship God at this mountain.”

The External excuse was lack of personal identity. The Israelite call me Egyptian and they will never accept me as their own. The fear of being rejected becomes part of the excuse. We come up with excuses when we fear rejection, when we think we are not good enough, who am I? To be true with you, we will never be good enough for people, so stop that excuse and trust God. When God is with you, you acquire authority.

Exodus 4:10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

The internal excuse is that I cannot talk, am slow in speech. Moses did not consider the one sending him was able to make him talk straight. God has created you for a purpose, and He knows your faults and weakness. Stop the excuses, If you have a weakness in any area of your life, don't use it as the reason why you can't Go, Pray to him to help you overcome the excuse.

Exodus 4:11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

Our heavenly father when you send me,help me avoid external excuses and be reminded of what David said "what can mere men do to me". May I be reminded that I should not fear those who have power to harm my body and not harm my soul.  God always remind me never to be ashamed of your Son. On internal excuses God remind me that you formed me with a purpose, that you’re God who give me strength in my weakness. You are God who say in my weakness that you are strong. Remind me that you are for me and not against me. Open my eyes God to know that those on my side are more. Remind me that Christ has finished the work.Amen

Till next time, Thanks for reading, have a fruitful week.
