GOD IS EVERYWHERE



I believe you are at the right blog and reading the right article. CCTV have been installed in various public places. They have been installed for monitoring of activity taking place in the surrounding environment. We also have CCTV for security in banks, in shopping malls to ensure no shop lifting and surprisingly in some churches today we are installing CCTV.

I was in church and an announcement was made. We were requested to ensure that we don’t leave our belongings next to people we are not acquainted. The report is that someone had been caught stealing phone on church CCTV. You can imagine that even in places of worship someone had no fear of the almighty.

I remember working on night shift and people were sleeping at work place, coming late among many other vices. The manager installed CCTV and things changed, People acted differently yes acted. They were on time, worked as per the requirement and related professionally with one another.

Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, observing the wicked and the good. “

This verse changed my way of doing things, you can just imagine God as a CCTV and He is everywhere. He is not biased, He is observing both the Wicked and the Good. Banks have CCTV installed but you hear reports money stolen. The activity on CCTV database are deleted and it becomes hard to know who committed the crime. God sees everything and his record no one can erase or alter. CCTV can fail in case of power failure and unable to work properly at night. God does not sleep and to him darkness is as light.

Psalms 139:11-12 “If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me, and the light around me will be night” — even the darkness is not dark to You. The night shines like the day; darkness and light are alike to You.”

God is not distracted by anything, He sees us. We can fake a lot when we know CCTV are installed and get away with it. Our God sees even intentions and motives. Paul says: 

 Colossians 3:22-25 “Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.”

 We should do things as unto the lord and not unto men. You see how easy it will be knowing that you are not pleasing man but God. Doing everything to the God who created us. Things done for God are permanent, remembered even when we depart from earth. On the contrary, thing done to please men are temporary, Unfulfilling. Men will even forget what you did, guess that is the reason he came up with CCTV.  

 Things even done in secret, Our God will recognize them. Do you have this place you call secret, things you do in the confine of your room and you think they are private, guess what they are not to God. Jesus says;

Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your private room, shut your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. ”

We now know that God sees in secret. He is the CCTV we cannot hide our action and deeds. He is the God that saw Ananias and Sapphira. They schemed on how to keep money from the disciples. To Ananias and Sapphira it was a secret, no one saw them but God had seen them. 

We therefore should live our lives knowing he is watching us. Jesus shows us how to live a life that pleases God.  
John 5:19-20 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.

 This is easier, we shift our focus to him and this means God will see his own deeds when He watches us. He will be well pleased by us when he looks at us. Study God word to know how to live your life.
